Further Questions

Thanks again Trench for the info. I would think that this area of the industry is definitely not affected by recession, spending etc., so that job security will be expected to continue? Definitely different from Sales? Am I correct?
You will really know that I am a newby when I ask what the "T" stands for in TPA.
You have given me some actual hope that all is not lost for me in this industry and for me to operate in this capacity would not constitute much in the way of further licensing - certainly I will check with Georgia to see what they require. And may I ask, what is the correct title for this work that you do? Independent Public Adjuster?
Thanks much again.
Kathy

TPA (Third Party Administrator) is a seperate entity who handles risk management for companies that are self insured. Infact there is some good job security within this field during a recession. Usually when a company downsizes, if they have a risk management department, they are usually one of the first departments to be laid off. I am an indpendent claims investigator who handles multi line claims management.
