I am from the Netherlands Antilles.I bought a car in New Jersey and was in need to transport the car to Miami Florida.I got a broker searching a company for me to get the car down to Miami. When the car arrive here the car is almost wrecked.I got pics when the car was pick up and it was ok,and the dock receipt and inspection indicate the damages.I talked to the broker and he says i have to talk to the trucking company.I talked to the trucking company and they told me that the damages were already done when they pick it up,what is not true,i have the pics.My question is,where can i go or what to do in cases. Are there any bureau to go to put a claim to get them clam insurance. And if they are not insured what are the steps to do.

Thanks

I'm guessing you paid the broker and have a contract with them? If so, your claim is against the broker as you did not hire the trucking company. The broker is trying to skirt their responsibility. Just because they hired someone else does not remove their responsibility in this matter. The broker is welcome to pursue the trucking company or, if they have a contract, attempt to tender the claim to the trucking company but your right of claim is against the broker.
