Do you have any cars on your policy with collision coverage?
Otherwise, the most broad coverage will apply if purchased within 30 days of the loss.

I'm pretty good at deciphering posts, but I'm still trying to figure out what you mean by:
(1) Met Life (really, Met P&C) "takes the payment out of my check every week." Do you mean that they take the automobile insurance premium from your paycheck or your bank account? Or are we talking about the truck financing payment? Or did Met finance your car? Could you clarify?
(2) By "reort" do you mean "report?" I'll assume that. OK...next:

While true in most states, it's not true in all. And I think you meant to say "Otherwise, the most broad coverage will apply if REPORTED to the insurer within 30 days of purchase."
This simply means that if you have an auto in the house with collision coverage, any newly acquired car will be given the "broadest" coverage currently in the house for a period of time. As well, there are differences between "New Acquired/Additional" and "Replacement" vehicles as to how coverage applies.
So, we need to know if (1) you have any cars with collision coverage in the household, (2) if this is an additional car in the household or was purchased to replace an existing vehicle, and (3) what state you live in.
Let us know!
