My friend was driving the Car and had an accident, will my insurance premium will go up, as this is not my fault? Fault is of my friend. I informed they have taken care of my car and the person with whom we had an accident.

No, you being the car owner will be held liable for this accident. Your friend seems to be an unfit driver and you shouldn't have allowed him in the first place. You or your liability insurance should now pay for the injuries caused to the other person.

Well, it kind of is...it's your fault they were driving the car. Insurance stays with the car and is primary, in every state I know ofFault is of my friend. I informed they have taken care of my car and the person with whom we had an accident.
Well, good luck with that. If your friend will pay ALL costs AND get a full release from the other vehicle owner and EVERY passenger in that vehicle...Then maybe. I'd personally bet against it. What about the damage to your car? Friend paying for that too? Or at least your collision deductible?Add your comment
