Hi mecin2win,
Life insurance is an important one. You can often get very high levels of cover for relatively modest premiums, but you do need to shop around. There are plenty of places that will give you an free indicative quote online, there's one in my sig if you're interested.
this is a good place to start. Get a few quotes from different places, compare premiums, acceptance criteria and policy features (such as early payout on diagnosis of serious illness etc.) as this can make a huge difference to what you actually get in practical terms.
Once you've got a couple of places short listed, look at what sort of group discount or corporate plan they can give you.
Key things to look at with life insurance are:
- Acceptance criteria and exclusions
- Early payout of benefit ciricumstances allowed (if any)
- Any stand down periods on claims (some insurers have a minimum non cover period at the start of any new life or health policy)
good luck and let me know who you go with in the end.

It might look normal, but the fact that he's undergone a bypass surgery would need you to do a lot of shopping before you could actually manage a policy with a reasonable rate. Coverage under the present circumstances could actually be a bit costlier!
