so i want to get health insurance, but for my copay it says that i have a coinsurance of 30%, but after the deductible is met. so, do i need to pay $8,000 first before the insurance begins to pay anything? and it's just for regular visits no major surgery.

Yes, the deductible has to be met before you can avail the benefits. There's no denying the fact that even your regular visits can be expensive at times.

Your deductible is $8,000? Kind of unusual to have one that high. Is this the cost of the treatment? As well, some plans don't apply the deductible to certain services...check your plan for specifics on that.
