i was involved in an accident with no license or insurance it was not my fault the other driver failed to yield the right of way she was covered, my car was totaled does her insurance have to pay for my car?

If the other person was at fault, yes (some states exclude a person from collecting non-monetary losses if they don't have insurance... in this case the damage to your car (only) is monetary).

No lic and no insurance.... great... I'm guessing _she_ was obeying the law and has a lic and insurance? Good thing she was more responsible they you are.

tecope, how does medical cover work in this case? If dwalters09 was injured I'd expect the at-fault driver to be liable for dwalters medical costs, but what about loss of income from being unable to work and/or suffering?

Would his lack of ins cover and/or licence hamper collection of these benefits?

Medical costs, loss income, its all considered under liability.

Some states don't allow collection of pain and suffering (non-economic losses) if the injury party is required to carry insurance and they don't. I think only 3 states are like this. Also, is a true no-fault state so the OP would not collect from the at-fault party.
