I have a slab leak and State Farm won't cover it. Is this usual?

Yes. Most dwelling policies will not. The loss is that a pipe broke, probably does to wear. Materials wearing out is not covered under the policy. In that the slab needs to be dismantled to get at it does not change the coverage.

many many homeowner's insurance companies will pay for the slab leak repair. but State Farm is one of the few that will not. For more information, follow us at unitedleak.com

Wow... spamming a thread from 6 months ago! How stupid.

Also, I don't know of any carriers that pay for repairs to the pipe, only the resulting damage. Very typical exclusions. Go figure... a spammer who does not know what it is talking about.

Yes...it seems to be a maintenance issue and hence not covered.
