Woul a gas seal leak be covered by homeowners insurance

wife smelled gas
gas co found small leak in direct vent room heater.Would a homeowners insurance policy repair this

Not unless the leak was caused by a covered loss. Most likely it's a wear and tear (maintenance) issue and it would not be covered. The real question is what caused the leak.

I'm with T...I really doubt it..the reason most seals of any kind begin to leak are due to age.

I agree with T and Lori.

You did not state when your house was built or if you have a home owner's warranty. If the house is recently built and you still have a warranty, it may be covered under that.
