What should I expect to get for my totaled truck?!?

I got in a wreck with a drunk driver on December 23rd who fled the scene and all we have is their tag numbers. I'm insured with Nationwide and they are going to "go after" the person once the police report comes out this week. Now on to the story...

I T-Boned these idiots and it really tore up my truck. The entire left, front side of my vehicle was basically destroyed. It's not drivable. A local "approved by Nationwide" bodyshop has been tearing into it and working up an estimate. The hood got pinned down and wouldn't open from the accident so they started with the visible stuff. Repairs totaled almost $8000. This past week, they tore into the hood (with authorization by NWide) and checked everything out there. Radiator, A/C Condenser, Compressor, Motor Mounts, and more need to be replaced. They think that's going to be about $3000 - $4000 so now they're in talks with NWide to total it.

NOW... the question! I can go buy a Tahoe just like mine for about $12-13k. If insurance totals it, which it's looking like they are at this point, what should I expect out of them? My truck was an '03, 108k, every option minus Nav and Sunroof. What is a figure worth fighting for in this case?

Thanks in advance,
Rob
