What is the best way to go about an injury claim? I was in an accident where the other driver was found to be at fault. we both have the same insurance company. I have been to the doc once and received some meds. I am going to go again this week. I was offered 600 last week after my first appointment. I dont feel comfortable with that amount. How do i come to a settlement with a comfortable ammount? my concern is something may lingre for a few months, maybe longer and i will have settled. I really dont want to have to worry about it and would like to settle as soon as possible.

You will need to wait until you are released from treatment and have presented all of your med bills for their review. Make you document everything from loss of work, pain etc.

These two things conflict with each other. You have three choices at this point.
1. Take what they are offering
2. Make a counter offer (maybe 1K)
3. Wait till you are done treating.

It depends on what you feel is comfortable. To cut to the chase, you want more money. If it was a minor accident or you weren't really hurt (bumps and bruises) you claim isn't going to be worth much and you would be lucky to get 1K for a couple office visits and some meds. Now if you are injured you will need to go through the process of treating. So it is up to you, treat and drag the process out or settle now for most likely under 1K.
