Windows

It has been raining in my area off and on for a week and today snow and rain are a constant. My question is this, I have my windows covered by plastic and on last night I looked at the bottowm of my window and noticed a wet spot and upon looking more I let up the window and noticed it is a constant drip of water. The paint has begun to peel and the wood has mold spores. I have a towel to catch the rain. Am i covered?

Are you sure that this damage has only been caused by the rains and nothing else? Did you communicate this problem to your insurance carrier?

Hi elizabethknight

I'd suggest investigate a little yourself. It may not be just the rain as Plasticmind also suggests. Molds develop over a period of time and maybe you can discover the source of the dripping. I'd also suggest that you seek only professional help to remove the mold since immature handling may spread the mold rather than removing it.
