Water line from Well

Our neighborhood is entirely served by well water. One of our neighbors had a leak in their main water line from their well to their home, making them have to dig up their yard and replace the line. I haven't asked them how they've done it yet, but does homeowner's insurance cover something like this? We did have unusually cold temperatures lately, I don't know what caused their line to leak, but of course, I'm worried about my line now... thanks in advance!
