im a 33yr old male, i was involved in a head on collision where i was not at fault. the person at fault ran a red light. her honda CRV was totalled with full airbag deployment, my truck was older and did not have airbags, also totalled. i was taken in an ambulance to the ER because of pain in my neck and shoulder. i was diagnosed with whiplash(soft tissue damage), they did an MRI and found that i have multiple bulging discs in my neck and back. i had no pre-existing injuries or conditions. i had extreme headaches, and my right arm & hand tingle with numbness at all times of the day. i was given pain killers and muscle relaxers. did physical therapy for 5 months with no results, and in turn was sent to see a specialist DR. who gave me my options for feeling better: chyropractor, cortisone shots in my neck, or surgery. i chose to start with chyropractor, which i did for a couple of months only to be shut down, because an independent med. DR. said he thought i was fine. so they stopped paying for my med. bills. my medical bills totalled about $6800.00, and truck damage $4000.00. truth is that i hurt, and still have terrible headaches almost everyday, and my arm and hand still tingle with numbness. also my back just isnt the same. just the other day the other parties insurance adjuster called me to offer me $6000.00...... does that seem low? what should my counter offer be? do they want to go to court? thank you.

I don't think so. If you're not at fault, then you don't need to worry.
When did the adjuster call you?

I empathize with you. I understand what you are going through. But before I can guide you, I need to know a few things.....
You have mentioned that the adjuster have offered you $6000.00. Does that cover your medical expenses only or is it offered for both medical as well as property damage? If it is offered only for the former, you must ask them about the property damage compensation.
At this point, I must remind you that it is only an initial offer, and that you must not rush through. You must wait till you complete your treatment and make an estimate of your total damage.
You must also ask them as to how they have arrived to an estimate of $6000.00 and present all your medical documents when you counter offer.
