insurance rates

Hi, My husband and I had progressive insurance before we switched to Allstate. My husband and I have a good driving record but he doesn't have good credit could this be why he was paying so much more with progressive? Do some insurance companies rely on credit scores to determine rates?

Yes, that could be why. There are many factors in determining your rate, but credit is pretty high up there and some company's do weigh your credit more heavily.
