Water-Damage Insurance Coverage
A clause in homeowner's insurance that provides protection for damages caused by water, e.g from a pipe burst. However, damages due to neglect in maintenance will not be covered, and so will flood damages. Flood insurance needs to be purchased separately under a program designed by the Federal Government.

The hose broke that connects to the toilet in my rental property. The tenant fixed it, saved the broken piece and used a shop vac to get up most of the water. The smell is terrible because a previous tenant put a cat litter box in that bathroom and it smells like strong cat urine. Will an insurance company replace the carpet to the way it was before this break?
