can i sue my insurance company

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been fighting with my insurance now for 5 months. I took out a policy which covered me for medical treatment abroad while i was working out there. I told them of my existing conditions and everything was ok. Unfortunatly while i was away i had a few seizures which lead me to go to hospital on varied occassions but was not given a diagnosis and i am currently getting tests now to find out what it is. My insurance company has still not paid any of the medical bills even though they did state to me that they had so i have had to pay for the air ambulance which was just under £1000 as otherwise legal action would be taken against myself and still have other bills coming in. My insurance company has since passed me to two other insurers which was not stated in my policy who are apparently dealing with my claims but they are now saying that i have not sent them copies of the bills but i have saved copies of them and the dates and times i sent them via email. What can i do? please help! Thanks.

It's hard to say, but when you stated this

seems like a snag to me. If they don't know what your problem is, it's difficult for them to make a coverage decsion. Do you know if your coverage pays for 100% of testing? How much of these bills are testing and what is the treatment thus far?

none are testing, and the treatment abroad was just to sedate me and to stay in hospital

You need to go through the terms of your policy and find out the treatments you are covered for. You need to specify your problem as well as your treatment before you settle for a claim otherwise it is not possible for the insurer to take a decision.
