my car was hit by a snow plow while parked. there is some damage but it is still road worthy. a check has been issued in my name and received. my question is this I was going to sell the car before this happened (its a 2000 stratus) and was selling it as a first car to a freind. 1 estimate is very high to replace panels one is lower to fix existing panel. the check does not come close to the higher estimate. the person who was buying the car would now rather by the car as is at a lower price and i would cash the check. is this legal?
