i fell at school and was injured, i need surgury herniated dist in my lower back, i have a settlement hearing how much do i ask for. i have been out of work for almost 1 yr and have been under doctors care for my back and knee, i was at work at the time of injury i am a yard duty worker

Who is this settlement hearing with? I'm guessing he workers compensation carrier?
In any case, there is not enough information to even take a guess on this one... and that is all it would be, a guess. Don't know what state you are in, the extend of your medical expenses, what has been paid, what additional treatment you will need, how much money you make, your age, when you will return to work, etc.
