As an example; performance cars will cost more to insure than perhaps a Honda civic? I understand insurance companies use a number rating system. Where can I find out which cars rate higher or lower than others?

There are different on-line sites where you can find car ratings. You can also check with the Blue Book for car rates.

Hi johnny
Yes, you may search online for car ratings. You may want to take a look at NADA guides to get an estimate of how your car is rated based on its make. The method of rating a car may differ slightly from one company to the other but ideally the difference should be significant.
