Hello, I live in Nevada. In May of 2008 a sonogram during a pregnancy was performed that was denied by the insurance company. The medical office applied money to the sonogram which was pre-paid for surgey and is now sending a bill for the surgery. The insurance company is telling me that it is past the time where I can dispute the non-payment of the sonogram. What can I do?

There are time limits within which you can make a claim which varies from one policy to another. If you do not make a claim within the specified time, you may not be entitled to receive the benefits. However, time limit for making a claim can be extended if you have a good reason for not making a claim within the stipulated time.
