Work was done poorly and my adjustor gave me the check for a contractor making me think he was paid off. The assessore(ms) office kept sending a letter about a permit but no one would say they took it out. A search showed the program took out the Permit to pay the contractor more money. I have the paper work showing the adjustor lied on all paper work showing money went to the county instead of the contractor. The other contractor got paid more than he was supposed to too.

The adjuster gave you a check to pay the contractor right? An amount that all parties agreed to perform the work, correct? Why would the assessor's office send you notice about the permit? Are you performing the work yourself? What program? The only person that would have approved the contractor more money would be you.

What happened to the check you gave to the contractor?
The other contractor got paid more than he was supposed to too.
Whose on first?

The assessor's office show a Permit was taken out the day of the fire(impossible)but does not show who took it out. No, Iam not doing the work.No one took out a Permit . The program is Neighborhood Preservation Program. Thats right. I should of known about the money but I did not. The program got the permit so the adjustor could pay the contractor. Its very confusing but Iam getting it figured out, I think.

but does not show who took it out.
So when you asked them who did, they replied.....your contractor?
No one took out a Permit
You know this how?
The program got the permit so the adjustor could pay the contractor.
Ahhh no. You said in your original post that you gave your contractor a check. The only person who can pay your contractor is you.
Its very confusing but Iam getting it figured out, I think.
Are you sure?

I thought I was the only one who could pay the contractor BUT the adjustor has paid the contractor 2 checks, the check he gave to me to pay the contractor I thought it was a final payment check. I asked my adjustor to send me a itemized statement of where monies went.By then he knew that I had found out that I was learning of what was really going on, so then he sent me paper showing that the contractor had done more work. It was not a contract even though he tried to make it look like it was. He did the same thing with the roofing contractor too. On the itemized paper he had
one amount for the roofing contractor on a new contract
it showed he paid the roofer way over. He was wrong all the way because I did not no about any money being paid out except the one check. I did not sign any of the
papers saying I approved the work because the work was never finished properly and as far as the roofer goes I fired him because he left a message at the hotel were I was staying stating that not to worry because the roof was on.(that year we had a bad rain storm)on Xmas
eve I woke up in the middle of the night and something told me to go to my house, I went. I opened the front door and my entire house was flooded and the roof was NOT on. There was a tarp in my backyard that they had put over my house but it blew off. My house went from a one room fire to my whole house being ruined. No one would call me back until the day after New Years. My house mildewed the whole house was ruined. To this day
I have never got an explanation of why they lied about the roof or why they did not contact me when it was an
emergency. This might sound unreal but this is the truth and I have tried to go along with all of the Bull shit but it
got to the point where I was getting the run around and the adjustor kept giving me excuses about everything. Then he started getting really rude and telling me I was mad at the world and trying to take my problems out on him. When I started looking into the permit the county kept telling me they did not show any kind of permit for my house. Then when I got the letter from the assessors office I called them and they looked into it and .......
