I am trying to avoid filing bankruptcy. I am on disability and there is no way I can pay this bill. I have been in modification with my mortgage basically I am broke. Bankruptcy is expensive besides my credit doesn't need any more damage. I thought I read 5 years was the statute, can anyone verify that? They also inflated this bill something terrible. They charged for days I wasn't even there. Thank You for your help!

Your topic is lacking information. What is the bill? Why do you think it's inflated?

kiiriwagner, you need to break this all down for us...what does your 98 accident have to do with it...? Is that the one you just settled and have to pay your pip carrier back?
