I got pulled over by cops. I realized I had no insurance on the car. It happend on March 5th 2010. that's why I wanted to find out if its possible to get backdated for the car insurance

I'm not an Insurance Expert, however....I do know there is no chance of 'back-dating' Insurance of any kind. Why didn't you find out if the auto was insured?..just curious.

When you say that you "had no insurance on the car," did you mean:
1. You do have an active insurance policy, it's just that this particular car hadn't yet been added to that policy, or;
2. This "new" car was intended to replace a vehicle that was already insured on a policy you already have, or;
3. You have no car insurance...period.
That will give us the necessary info to properly answer this question. For example, if you currently have a policy, and this car was purchased either as a replacement vehicle for a car you owned or is simply an additional car added to your household, just about every policy out there provides coverage in these situations for a period of time.
If you simply didn't have any insurance, you're outta luck. No company can legally backdate coverage in this kind of situation. Sorry, but it would definitely be an uninsured incident.

Carefull this comment isn't completely true. Backdating in the life and (certain products) health industry is common practice. However, it's done for the purpose of issuing the policy at a lower age, which results in a lower premium.
Backdating in the P&C world is a no go as has already been mentioned.

Mmm.......then I will 'recanter' my statement. Auto Insurance: I believe you can't 'backdate'. I know, in the state of PA, you can't.

To the OP: I am still wondering about the questions that I posed in my post that haven't been addressed.
Can you provide us that info?
