What can I do about a Recall Issue on 2003 Land Rover I have had 2 rearend accidents in 1 year I never had an accident befor this that was my fault I knew somthing was wrong my car acted like it was stopping but right before the impact the bake acted like it wasn't working and the car excelled what can I do about fighting to clear my record the last accident caused 4500 in damage and the dealer said he took care of the recall issue when I ask what the recall was I was told it was a sensor the only recall on this car was the excelleration of this car when it has to stop quickly I feel I should have been told or the problem should have been fixed before the car was resold? what can I do what are my options? So you are saying that the excellaeration problem caused the two accidents? Even if it did, you would still be held liable.

I understand the it is my responsibility to keep my car operating correctly, but isn't it also the dealers responsiblity to correct the recall problem before resaling the car

I don't know, but that would also be the owners responsibility to research any known problems/recalls before making a purchase.

Would the Dealer harbor any liability I disussed the mechanics of this car in detail and was assured that the car was inspected and all issues had been taken care of by the dealer

If they have documentation of this, there is not a whole lot you can do. If no problem(s) were found and/ or fixed, then they have taken care of their responsibility.

They may never have produced it to you (strange that they would not), but if work was actually performed on it, there would be documentation of it. I suggest you go to the dealer and ask for the service history of your vehicle. Like I said, if the problem was check or fixed, it will be on the service history.

Was this recall brought to your attention by the dealer? If so, they will have documentation of it. I searched recalls for your vehicle, I am not finding anything do to do with an excelleration problem/recall.
