foundation is sinking, 3 inches, feel crack in concrete under carpet, I can get ny foot under the door in the hall , can see foundation walls between carpet and baseboard, gap under shower pan now, will insirance cover repairs, jack hammering our old floor, recompacting soil, supporting plumbing that is beginning to sag, and repour slab, between 6 and 10 thousand

Unfortunately, not likely. Just about every homeowners insurance policy excludes coverage for foundation and associated problems. Shrinkage, sinking, bulging, cracking of foundations and other supporting structures is typically not going to be to be covered.
I would suggest that you check your policy and look under "dwelling" coverage for Section I: Property coverage. Look for language that indicates exclusionary language, commonly stated as "this policy will not cover..."
You can always ask your agent, but it's my experience that you'll be lucky if your agent knows this one off the top of his/her head.
