I was rear ended and the accident caused a pre-existing cond

I had just got my "life" back after suffering from sciatica for four months. I had been able to stop taking the pain medication, I was walking (and losing weight that I had gained for inactivity) again, and I had even returned to bowling (sometimes up to 18 games a week) when I was rear ended. Now the pain in my back and legs is 10x worse than it was originally. The insurance adjuster is telling me the "its not cut and dry", and I feel that they are going to say the accident has nothing to do with my pain. What is the "norm" in a situation like this?

The short and simple answer and truth is, 'causing' an injury is 'worth' more than aggravating a pre-existing one...that doesn't mean you aren't due anything for your injury you are. The adjuster will get medical records and reports from your docs and evaluate your injury based on those.
