carpet into another room that has door/doorway - but if only hallway replaced and they are replacing stairs and living room as all run together and one view - the master bedroom is in direct view from hallway - when first coming up stairs look from hallway directly into master - noticeable difference if 2 different carpets - also stairs go directly down to powder room - sharp turn keeps you from going directly into that room - won't replace, again noticable different - carpet is only 7 yrs old, very good condition and off white - shouold they replace so its all like and kind.

I can say that it's standard practice not to replace undamaged carpeting if there is a "break". A break is usually a stairway and/or doorways. So this is pretty typical. You say that the carpeting in the room can be seen from the hallway. Using this criteria, probably all of the carpeting in the home would need to be replaced. The policy states that they will repair/replace damaged property. There is undamaged carpeting being replaced as well in this situation... and it's fair as it does need to match to some degree, but there is going to be a limit to this undamaged property that is replaced.

I certainly understand your concern... and it's not unfounded.
