how does one get homeowners insurance if u r a non US citizen and owns a home?

dont you think we could ask for their Visa details, to verify they are here legally, and it would be no more of an invasion of privacy than asking for a social security number from a U.S. Citizen?
I see what you mean. WHATEVER a US citizen wants to do (fill out a job application, apply for a loan, etc), we DO need to provide SS#'s. Especially looking into your credit, etc.

Yeah. I was just thinking out loud about how I would present the case to an underwriter. I'm not sure how it would work out, but I would sure present the case. Again, if all other factors were good.
