?????

You posted mom's social security number in an internet forum? That's got stolen identity written all over it.

Jo, never EVER post personal information on the web in an open/public forum..Most especially a social security number!

Jo, you need to start checking and closely guard EVERYTHING surrounding your mothers estate. It's highly likely I was too late in getting this info out of here. The chance that some scum bag saw it and is already ordering credit cards, and assuming her identity is HUGE. If you have posted this information other places get back to those sites ASAP and remove this information..(hey regular posters if you EVER see this type of thing again PLEASE send me or Ins. Teacher or both! a pm so we can get it out of the thread!)

As to whom had your mothers life insurance...Look though her check book for cancel checks to a carrier. Look in her fire or safety deposit box. You'll just need to go thru her papers to find it. I'm sure it will turn up..

Oh honey! I'm going to be so worried about you now!

Either you'll find it the way Lori has mentioned or you may look for her agent information. Try asking people who she was acquainted with.

You must be right, because this was not, I repeat NOT POSTED by ME. I don't know what is going on, however, I repeat I DID NOT post this about mother's ins.

And they love stealing dead people's identity.

I remember not long after my father died mom got a phone call from someone looking to "close out" a Lowes credit card account, just needed all his personal information like SS#, date of birth, etc.

Here's the hook, he never lived within 50 miles of a Lowes and I'm not even sure he ever stepped foot in one.

Mom called a few days later and told me about it. I asked her if she gave him any information. She said no. I said good, and don't provide any information to anyone who called asking those type of questions, even if she thought there was an account. They got it once, they don't need it again, death certificate is proof they need for death.
