Am I covered for a broken water pipe within my concrete sla

I have an ho 3 policy. On a Friday night I discovered a water leak underneath my tiled floor.(it was hot water I could feel it with my feet)Saturday morning I called my insurance company to seek advice,of coarse no one was there.Later that morning I went and rented a jack hammer and proceeded to expose the leak.In doing so I had to destroy 6 12" floor tiles.I eventually exposed the leaking water pipe and temporarally stopped the leaking pipe with a putty type sealer. On tues. the insurance ajuster came by and had me sign a paper that said there was no damage caused by leaking water.(Which I did sign)He told me that the insurance company would not pay to have the plumbing repaired and that i should call a plumber myself ,which I later did.He then asked me if I had any matching floor tile on hand, when I told him no he proceeded to measure the rest of the tiled portion of the house which is about 900 square feet of matching tile.As of today about 3 weeks later I still have a hole in my floor and my insurance claim has been denied.

... and correctly so. Your HO policy does not pay for wear and tear. This is why the water pipe broke. If your water heater wore out or your stove wore out you probably would not expect for your HO policy to pay for them either. In that the pipe was buried in the cement does not change the issue. Resulting water damage would have been covered but it appears that there was none.

Exactly...(great analogies T  )

Now, had that water ran into the house, damaged your carpet, walls whatever, there would've been coverage for the ensuing water damage..but there was none..just a maintence item, and bad luck..
