Will a homeowner policy cover property stolen out of my car that was vandalized while in my driveway?

Yes, as long as it's not a part of the vehicle (i.e. covered under the auto policy)... and as long as it's the HO insured's property.

The property stolen will be covered under you personal property of your homeowners policy. In most all cases it will be subject to your home owners deductible though. You want to be careful about making a claim like this. If your property is not worth a significant amount more than your deductible then I would not make this claim. The reason for that is insurance companies are quick to cancel a policy or non-renew if your have multiple claims on your home. Then it will be hard to find coverage and you will pay more in the long run than if you did not make the claim.

Also remember if the property was factory installed in the car it will be covered on the auto policy. If the property is aftermarket installed you should have endorsed it with your agent. Ex. T.V. installed in head rest...etc
