Does anyone know of a site where you can get auto insurance rates without giving out your personal information? I don't want sales people calling me non-stop.

No. And here's the reason: aside from vehicle specifics, in order to give a person a reasonably accurate quote for insurance, certain things are required to be known. The insurer, at a minimum, needs to know your driving history, years of driving experience, and minimum number of miles driven annually. In some states, a person's credit history is reviewed as an underwriting criteria.

Having said that, if you want to minimize your contact with agents/companies after providing the necessary information to obtain a quote, then you need to visit each insurance company's own website for a quote. In most cases, the only contact you'll have afterward is an email or two. Only a few companies will ever "sic" a local agent on you by phone. It's annoying, time-consuming, and, did I say, ANNOYING, to have to repeatedly put that information into multiple quoting engines.

Your only other alternative is to find a local independent agent/broker who can take your information one time and feed it into his agency's quote system and come back to you with two or three "best" offers from several different companies. You can accept or decline any or all of the "offers", and an agent cannot charge you for the service. A broker could charge you, but you'd have to sign a fee agreement in advance, and you can refuse to do that and take your business elsewhere.

As far as I know, the majority (if not all) of the "online quote" sites are lead-generating devices for agents, not agencies themselves.
