Cater at home but do not carry a license of any kind. Want to give a party for husband at our community banquet center, they require caterers to have a million dollart insurance policy. Where do I go for that, or can I get something to cover me for the one day if thats possible.

In addition to my insurance practice, I have a small catering business. You can get a caterer's policy through any independent agent. My current policy is through The Hartford, and is very affordable. You'll pay as much for a "one day" policy as for one that will cover you for the next 365. Your choice.
