I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND TWICE SAME NITE. I WAS THE LEAD CAR. TWO OTHER CARS WERE BEHIND ME. GOING TO PT FOR ROTATOR CUFF DAMAGE. HAS A SMALL TEAR. WHAT KIND OF SETTLEMEN WOULD I GET. JUST OFF THE RECORD.

Basically, you could be entitled to two different types of "damages": (1) specific damages -- physical damage to your auto, direct medical bills for your injury (including therapy, ER, x-rays, physician, etc.), lost wages, or any other actual monetary losses, and (2) general damages -- the so-called (non-economic) "pain & suffering" kind of stuff, all of which are intangible.

No one here can tell you what that's worth for a rotator cuff injury. If you lost your entire arm, no one could what that was worth. It's going to be up to a judge or jury or an insurance company adjuster.

You need to explain 'hit twice' a little better...did the car behind you rearend you, THEN the car behind this car rearended it causing it to rearend you again? Is that what happened?

It also depends which state you are in..if you're in a PIP/no fault state, you won't likely get anything, other than your PIP coverage, unless and until you eclipse your states threshold.

Lori has a nice explanation for you unless you have different story to tell. But yeah, you need to share the type of state you're in.
