I'm going to take a wild guess, here. Probably because of their age, they are at a 'higher risk' of getting hurt someway, etc.

Thanks, MAX..and I'm not EVEN an Insurance expert!! :lol: I think that goes with ANY kind of Insurance (Medical, Life, etc). Ya know,..the facts involved.

If the risk is to a human being, yes, in most cases. Disability income insurance is somewhat less dependent on age and more dependent upon occupational risk.

Other forms of insurance, such as homeowner's and liability insurance, depend almost entirely on the risk itself rather than the insured specifically. This is not to say that the insured can't influence the rate or coverage, just less likely. Claims history, criminal background, etc., can be influential factors.

OHH..I catcha, MAX!! Ok..very clear explaination. I never saw the 'difference' in the explainations, of Mediacl, Travel, etc. I just kind of 'clumped' them all together. Was my post clear enough for you to understand 'where I'm comong from'? I know WHAT I'm trying to say, just difficult to say it the way I'm TRYING to say it. :oops:
