How do you figure in pain/suffering with the ins. bill

Had an accident last Sept, suffered neck/back injury, neck is fine, still trouble with lower back. have numbness/pain in left leg/foot, cannot sit for long periods of time. In june I had a facet joint injection, on muscle relaxers, lortabs, and a lidocaine patch. My job rquires me to travel quite a bit, not able to take the lortab. before the accident very active, mountain hiking, cycling, tennis, and basketball. Anything for a continuous period of time causes pain/ache. I just turn fifty in May, my doctor stated I have some nerve damage which you can't put a time on it. Have gone through 4 months of physical therapy. I feel stuck with the pain.
