It has been over a year and i have been trying to settle on my own my motorcycle accident claim with 100% at fault drivers insurance company, who was cited for failure to yield right of way and driving with expired license. Motorcycle was taken care of within one month after accident 14000 dollars worth of damage so it was totaled. Since december when i sent my demand letter with all medical bills 8000 dollars and counting, doctors medical reports, loss wages from employer and now unemployed, photos of total loss motorcycle and physical injuries to myself, i still have not received the 25000 dollar policy limit and the insurance company keeps asking me to sign a medical release form 5 years prior which has nothing to do with this accident. What should i do because my underinsured policy want pay until they pay. Please help me time is running out on statue of limitations which is two years in georgia where i live. Hiring a lawyer and giving up 33% of my settlement will be my last resort.

I think what they want you to sign is a Medical Authorization... not a Release of All Claims, correct? I think it's this as I also think you mention that they want medical records from an injury that happened 5 years ago. You say it's not related but how can anyone know without reviewing those medical notes? If it's not related in any way, why not allow them to confirm this?

There is a _good_ chance they either won't offer anything or offer very little without being able to review those notes. If you obtain the services of an attorney your attorney _will_ provide those records. The alternative is that suit is filed and the insurance company will then have access to those notes anyway.
