Had employer taking out money from my check to pay for dental vision and health insurance thru AFLAC. I received a leeter from AFLAC stating all insurance canceled due to non payment. Showed letter to employer, they are still trying to put it off on AFLAC even though i told them AFLAC is not in the equation because they never received any money for my policy. Who do I contact to get the 430.00 that the employer has of mine?

Have your employer show you a copy of the cancelled check that paid the premiums. If they cannot do that, you sue your employer in small claims court for the $430.

And you should start looking for another job now, because they will probably find an excuse to fire you as soon as they are served with the subpoena to show up in court.

Your state's Department of Labor (or equivalent) might be interested to know that your employer is playing games with employee deductions. There's probably something in state law that governs that situation besides a basic theft statute. You could also contact the local District Attorney's Office and ask what they can do for you, too.

Definitely! There has to be something in your state laws that deal with such situations and you shouldn't miss out on that. Make sure you go through the legal websites and find out your options in this regard.

If you'd take the trouble and walk that extra mile today, may be tomorrow your employer will stop playing such games. Nobody will know, but perhaps future employees in your organization will be benefited.
