Hey, my fellow auto insurance agents!
Just wanted to ask your opinion about this company I recently came across, Warranty Agents. (www.warrantyagents.com) On their website, they say that they pay $500 commission per sale, plus free access to real time insurance leads. Has anybody worked with them? I would like to try them, but before I do that, thought may be I should check their reputation first.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Vlada, licensed auto insurance agent.

I would be skeptical. BBB is generally worthless as a source. Try the state dept of insurance in the state where their main office is.

I agree that the state doi is probably the best source. But, would also like to have your opinion regarding the BBB rating system. I've seen them rating under A, A+ and A- categories.

I understand all the skepticism. I was skeptic for a while, too. However, I decided to sign with Warranty Agents, anyway. In these tough economic times, any extra cash is welcome :).
Plus, their warranty plans are insurance-backed up. I called them up, and they told me that they work with warranty companies like Royal Administration and Interstate (there's a lot more, I just can't think of all the names right now). And, those companies have been around forever.
So, what's the worst that can happen? :)
I'll let everybody know, how it worked out for me.
Thanks for your feedback.

Only businesses that pay membership dues to the BBB are rated. If they have no complaints they are A or A+, a couple of complaints, resolved to the satisfaction of the customer, not worse than A-. A company that is not a member of BBB is not obligated to respond to a complaint made to the BBB, and cannot be rated by the BBB. They can maintain a complaint file -- that they sell access to.
