If the policy holder signs the release but her husband, who's listed on the policy, doesn't sign, does the lack of his signature allow him to present additional claims if the vehicle was owned by him?

I'm just wondering why the insured is signing a release on a 1st party claim. This is not normally done.

In most property & casualty policies only the FIRST NAMED INSURED is entitled to make policy-related decisions, changes, or sign documents related to the policy.

It has to be the first named insured on most occasions.
