I was involved in a fender bender. Other driver was at fault and she has State Farm insurance. Got an estimate for $2200 for the repair. Car is only worth $3500! I own the car outright... no loan.
How do I handle this?

They would probably consider the vehicle a total loss if the cost to repair is $2800 or 80% of its value.

Have you contacted the other person's carrier? Call them and report the claim. They will let you know how to proceed.

It means that if your damages are less than about $2800, they will not be totaling the vehicle.
