can another person's car insurance company refuse to pay for the damages they did to my car just because the book value is low on my car? They came out and looked over my car and said the person they insure had did damage to my car in the total of $1967.00, they also said that my car had old damage here and there
Totaling $1600.00, so then the send me paperwork saying that the book value is like $3000.00, so with the old and new damage, they will give me $700.00 and take the car to scrap, are they will give me $450.00 and I can keep it, the car is a 1993 Ford Mustang Convertible, that I just got a new top, new tires, and a new transmission, can they do this? I only had liability on this car, the person in the other car was at fault, I had a witness and the cop gave her tickets for running a stop sign. All i want is the car fixed. Thank you
