What are the responsibilities of an Insurance claims agent?

My insurance claim agent does not call me and when I leave messages for her she doesn't return my calls. I called once and asked if she knew what was happening with my car and she replied that I should call the auto body shop and find out. Isn't this her job? Can I sue her for the stress that I have been going through because it seems to me she is not doing her job.

Let's see, it's your car. You can't call the repair shop and ask what's happening with your car? You called the claims person one time, they gave you an answer you didn't like, and now you're suffering "stress"?

I'm sure you got an "A" in drama class in junior high. But you should have outgrown that juvenile attitude a long time ago.

And no, you cannot sue the claims person. At best, you could sue the insurance company. But you are so far away from having a case at this point that it's not even funny.

Call the repair shop and ask when your car will be ready to pick up.
