Well, when it says "individual" insurance, that distinguishes it from "group" insurance. That one policy covers two or more persons under an "individual" contract is not a problem. Unless one of the two persons is not listed as a covered person. An individual life policy can cover husband, wife, and multiple children (even adding newborn or adopted children automatically).
An individual policy will often include these "additional insureds" with the use of one or two riders attached to the contract. But the "Data" or "Specifications" pages at the beginning of the contract will list each rider and describe what it covers.
You can also look at the copy of the application attached to your contract to see what coverage was applied for. If still in doubt as to what your coverage actually is, call the insurance company and ask them.
If you continue to have a problem after doing those two things, come back here and ask for additional help. We'll be glad to give it to you.

Why are you on a forum with us and not on the phone with the aent or the insurance company. No one here knows anywhere near enough to answer this question intelligently, we can take stabs at guesses on what's going on. But none of us really know without the facts in front of us. Call someone more involved. You'll be shocked at how helpful they can be.

I'd agree with what Max has explained above. I feel we only get to the forums either when none answers our phone calls or when we need to have multiple views regarding a specific topic.
