If he's accepted such a due date through an agreement while signing up for his auto insurance, it won't be easy to change it now.

A lapse (the portion of your question that appears to have been lost) in auto insurance usually occurs 10 days after the due date. Instead of paying as late as possible, your son should be paying in advance to avoid a lapse. Most insurers have the ability to pay a premium through their website, most banks and credit unions offer free bill pay services on line at their websites.

Yes, a part of your actual query is missing with the topic title. Please try and post the entire thing within the message body, if you have anything more to know about.
It's true that online payments are easy and they save time. Above all they ensure a safe transaction.

As an independent agent, I work with multiple insurance companies. Each company operates slightly different. Some insurance companies will allow you to dictate when your due date is, some will not. If your son’s carrier will not allow his due date to be changed, another idea may be to just pay a month in advance. Therefore, he can choose when he makes his payment as he’ll always be paying advance.
If the guy is trying to get his due date changed because of direct deposit, I'm guessing this is quite possibly a pay-check-to-pay-check sort of situation where paying an extra month to be a month in advance isn't likely an option.

It may not require paying an entire month ahead (I think you're talking about making an extra payment to get ahead), but paying as soon as the invoice is received rather than waiting for the last moment.
