panelty by insurer

if an insurance company increases the premium by its self after agreement on a different low price, can i cancel the policy? what panelty i have to face?

You've posted this in the auto forum so I'm guessing it's an auto policy. I've never heard of an auto policy that can't be cancelled whenever you want.... regardless of the reason.

Did your carrier send you any explanation of why they're increasing the premiums? I've seen some things getting cancelled if they're within the cooling-off period. But once you cross the cooling-off period then it should be governed by the terms and conditions mentioned in your policy papers. At the best, you may consult with your agent.
