My father took out an insurance policy when all of his children were minors. He recently passed away. Can we contest the policy beneficiary? How can we have the funeral expenses taken out of that policy?

Unless you can prove mental defect, coercion, or other threat, the answer is no. If the named beneficiary has predeceased your father, and a new beneficiary was not named, then you may be in line to receive the death benefit proceeds.

If you are not the beneficiary, you cannot.
