If you are asking if a misdemeanor assault charge can affect an agent's insurance license, then the answer is, yes, it could.
Will it? Probably not. Unless it is not reported by the agent to the state's Dept of Insurance, as may be required by the state Insurance Code.
In California, all such misdemeanor convictions must be self-reported to the Dept of Insurance at the time. Failure to report the conviction can be grounds for termination of the license, even though the conviction itself might not.
