I have 28.5 ce hours for my next two years, but have seen in different places that 30 is the requirement. I have been told 20 Ce Hours are required for General Lines Agents, so which is it, 20 or 30??

The number of CE hours that you must complete is completely and utterly dependent upon the state in which you hold your home-state (formerly "resident" license). Most states are currently at 24 hours per licensing period with a few exceptions. Since you're using the term "general lines" agent, that narrows it down considerably. Most states now refer to this as P&C.

So... what state are you in? If you tell me that, I can give you specifics. As well, why haven't you checked out your state's insurance division website? It will always have this information!
